Crime Control and Prevention District
Purpose The Crime Control and Prevention District was created by Southlake voters in November 1997 and is funded through a half-cent sales tax on purchases made within the city. Its purpose is to raise money for capital purchases and other programs related to public safety. Meetings The Board meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month, at 7:00 p.m., at the West DPS Facility at 2100 West Southlake Boulevard. Members The district is governed by a board of directors composed of seven Southlake residents, with members appointed by the City Council for staggered two-year terms.
