Purpose
Students and Parents Against Risks to our Kids (S.P.A.R.K.) with its mission of sparking ideas, sharing information, identifying needs, educating the community, mobilizing resources, promoting collaboration and advocating for sound public policy in a new commitment to empower our citizens in the battle agains underage drinking, drugs, and internet perils.
S.P.A.R.K invites you to attend "Sex, Drugs, Rock and Rules," a seminar for parents, grandparents, teachers, and other adults who deal with pre-teens and teens! Local licensed counselors and therapists will discuss current trends amongst our kids, as well as offer advice on redirecting kids' behavior and choices.
The event is slated for Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 7:00 pm and will be held at the Carroll Senior High School auditorium (1501 West Southlake Boulevard). Admission is free, but restricted to those 18 and older. Please make child care arrangements ahead of time, as there is no day care at this facility. This event is brought to you by S.P.A.R.K, Carroll ISD, and the City of Southlake.
