Department Management and Resource Utilization
City service levels and quality are high in the City of Southlake. It is important, however, to emphasize the efficient and cost effective delivery of those services. The municipal organization must demonstrate that the citizens of Southlake receive value for their tax dollars.
To improve resource utilization practices, the city periodically conducts management studies of large operating departments. The goal is to reduce operating costs and avoid costs where possible, by fully understanding departmental practices. Exploring service delivery alternatives and performance data allows us to make informed decisions that are critical to the efficient management of city resources.
