Proclamation - Eagle Scout Drew Allen Day

 

Boy Scouting's highest honor is achieving the Eagle Scout Award and only 1% of all scouts ever achieve this rank; and,

 

Whereas, On June 6, 2008, Boy Scout Drew Allen from Troop 402, will be recognized by the Boy Scouts of America for successfully completing all requirements for Scouting's highest rank; and,

 

Whereas, Drew was awarded the Duty to God Award and received a First Aid merit badge.  He has served as Chaplin, Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader and Squad Leader.  For his Eagle Scout Project, Drew worked with the installation of a flag pole at Bear Creek Park in Euless, Texas.  This will be used for Cub Scout Day Camps throughout the summer and other community events; and,

 

Whereas, The Eagle Scout Award is the highest form of recognition in the Boy Scouts of America and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment.  Having completed the requirements for, and having been examined by an Eagle Scout Board Review, Drew Allen was found worthy of the rank of Eagle Scout; and,

 

Therefore, I, Mayor Andy Wambsganss, on behalf of the City Council, in recognition of Drew Allen's outstanding achievements and superior spirit of service to his community, do hereby proclaim June 6, 2008 as
