How do I register to vote?
Voter Registration cards can be picked up in the City Secretary's Office or the Southlake Public Library. They can also be found at the Secretary of State's website.

How do I obtain copies of City documents?
All requests must be in writing and addressed to Lori Payne, City Secretary. Requests can be dropped off or mailed to the City Secretary's Office, 1400 Main Street, Suite 270, Southlake, Texas 76092. They can also be faxed to 817-748-8270. You can also download a Request for Information Form, but any written request is welcome.

Who is my Representative?
For the City of Southlake, the Mayor and six City Council members are elected at-large and represent the City as a whole. To find your state and federal representatives click here.

Who are the City Council members?
The Mayor of Southlake is John Terrell. The Council members are Mayor Pro Tem Virginia M. Muyzka (Place 5), Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Laura K. Hill (Place 1), Carolyn Morris (Place 2), Brandon Bledsoe (Place 3), Gregory Jones (Place 4), and Pamela A. Muller (Place 6).

When are City Council meetings?
Regular City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of every month in the Town Hall Council Chambers. Consult the City Council meeting agenda for meeting times.

When is the City Council agenda available?
The agenda will be posted on the official bulletin boards at Town Hall and the City's website by close of business the Friday prior to the meeting week.

Can I speak at a City Council meeting?
If you are interested in speaking on a current agenda item, complete a blue comment card that is located in the back of the Council Chambers and give it to the City Secretary or police officer in the back of the room. When that agenda item is addressed during the regular course of the meeting, the Mayor will call the names of the speakers to come forward. If you are interested in speaking on an item not listed on the agenda, a Public Forum is held during every meeting and gives you the opportunity to address council. Prior to the Public Forum, complete a blue comment card and the Mayor will call your name during this time.

When is the City Council and P&Z meeting available on the Cable Channel?
City Council meetings air on cable channel 27 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The P&Z meetings air on Tuesdays and Thursday at 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

How do I apply to be on a City board or commission?
Most board appointments are for two year terms that expire in May on a rotating basis. City Council generally makes the appointments during the summer. An application for appointment must be submitted to the City Secretary's Office in order to be considered.

How do I obtain a copy of a birth certificate or death certificate?
These documents can be requested at the County Clerk's Office. For Tarrant County call 817-748-8075. For Denton County call 972-434-8820.

How can I get a copy of a City Council or Planning and Zoning Commission meeting?
DVDs and audio recordings of these meetings are available in the City Secretary's Office for purchase. Please submit a Request for Information Form. (See question No. 2.) DVDs of both City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission meetings can also be checked out from the Southlake Public Library to any library patron.
