SOUTHLAKE SPORTS PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY

To provide resident the opportunity to participate in recreational lifetime sports, with emphasis on everyone playing, learning technical skills, enjoying team spirit, enjoying the challenge of competition and the game. 

 

The City of Southlake is a proud member of the Texas Amateur Athletics Federation (TAAF).  TAAF is a state federation providing competition beyond the local level.  Currently, over 150 cities combine to establish and maintain the highest ideal of amateur sports in the state of Texas; promote the development of physical education and encourage the standardization of rules in all amateur athletics, games and competitions.  The objectives of TAAF are both charitable and educational.  The City of Southlake is part of TAAF Region 4

  • PRE-SCHOOL PROGAM:
    • Mini Dribblers: Basketball program for four and five year olds offered in the Spring and Fall.
  • YOUTH LEAGUES:
    • Basketball:  Girls and boys leagues offered in the Summer & Winter.
    • Flag Football: Coed leagues offered in the Spring & Fall.
    • Hockey: Leagues offered in the Spring & Fall.
    • Volleyball: Leagues offered in the Spring & Fall.
  • ADULT LEAGUE:
    • Softball: Mens 35 and over leagues offered in the Spring & Fall.
  • VOLUNTEER COACHES:  In order for all the above youth athletic leagues to occur, volunteer coaches are needed.  Please consider helping the youth and sharing your time!
