City of Southlake

In an effort to better involve members of the community in municipal operations, the City of Southlake created the Southlake Volunteer Program.  Through this program, people who want to volunteer their time and abilities to work on various projects are given an opportunity to serve. 

The City is always looking for volunteers to help with the many programs and services it offers its residents.  As a City Volunteer, opportunities for involvement are open in many City departments and across many fields of interest.

Volunteer Responsibilities
As a volunteer you are responsible for:

• Meaningful and challenging assignments
• Clear and specific directions
• Training, supervision and feedback
• A working partnership with City employees
• Choose your areas of interest 
• Appreciation and recognition

• Completing assigned tasks
• Arriving on time and ready to work
• Notifying supervisor when unable to work
• Accepting feedback as appropriate
• Maintaining confidentiality
• Asking questions if you do not understand
