How can I better prepare for severe weather?

Severe weather is the number one hazard that threatens the North Central Texas Region. Severe weather can bring hail, high winds, flooding, tornadoes and a host of other weather events. The number one recommendation regarding severe weather awareness is to purchase a NOAA Weather Radio and to stay tuned to the weather daily during the spring and summer months. Storms can develop quickly in our region and often catch people off guard. For more information please visit our severe weather awareness page.  You may also contact our Emergency Management Coordinator, Colleen Gilmore, at 817-748-8624 or visit the Emergency Management page.
