The Northeast Fire Agencies Combined Testing (NFACT) group is a combined effort of the cities of Keller, North Richland Hills, Southlake and Westlake, Texas. Under a cooperative agreement, each of these respective cities' Fire departments shares in the recruitment effort of Fire Fighter / Rescue Specialist and have jointly developed the following criteria:
Minimum requirements for application
- Minimum age of applicant is 19 years old
- Must have a High School diploma or GED and a valid Texas driver's license
- Must be a Texas Certified Fire Fighter, Texas/NR-EMT Paramedic OR
- Texas/NR EMT Paramedic
- An extensive background check will be conducted
Written examination for entrance level applications consisting of:
- General Aptitude Test for Fire Fighter Entry Level
Physical agility test consisting of the following events:
- Rescue Maze
- Ladder Climb
- Fireground Evolution Drill
