About the Southlake 2025 Plan

The Southlake 2025 Plan is Southlake's comprehensive plan update that serves as a blueprint for the city's future. The Plan is a statement of the community's values and establishes a vision for the long-term growth and development of the city. The Plan has several components, as outlined below.

Phase II: Area Plans

In an effort to conduct an efficient yet detailed planning effort, the city was divided into nine planning areas. Using the guiding principles from phase I, specific recommendations in relation to land use, transportation, parks and recreation, trails, and environmental resource protection were developed for each area. The planning areas were then combined to create four area plans.  For more information, please follow the link below:

Phase III: Consolidated Plans

In phase III, the recommendations from the phase II area plans were consolidated into city-wide plans. Please follow the links below for more information on each plan:

• Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan (includes the Environmental Resource Protection Plan)
• Southlake Pathways Plan (Trail Master Plan)

 

Additional Plans and Studies

• Urban Design Plan and Median Plan - Adopted on February 5, 2008, the Urban Design Plan is intended to maintain and enhance the city's unique sense of place. The Plan includes recommendations for medians along F.M. 1709 and F.M. 1938.
• Sidewalk Plan and Safe Routes to Schools Plan - Adopted on November 6, 2007, the city's Sidewalk Plan addresses gaps in the pedestrian network and complements the Pathways Plan. The city's Safe Routes to Schools Plan is a component of the Sidewalk Plan.
• 1995 Corridor Study - This study was conducted to provide guidelines on issues relating to development of the city's most prominent roadways.
