- April 23, 2008: Oil & Gas Task Force meeting to solicit public input on the proposed ordinances prior to Second Reading. This meeting was held at Town Hall in the Council Chambers at 6:00p.m. See below to view Ordinance 880-A as amended after this meeting.

- City Council / Planning & Zoning Commission Joint Work Session: The City Council will hold a joint work session with the Planning & Zoning Commission on the Land Use Plan, Ordinance 480-RRR, Ordinance 880-A and the Road Repair Agreement in regards to Gas Drilling and Production at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers (Town Hall).

- Ordinance No. 880-A, 2nd Reading, Amend Section 9.5, Article IV, of the Southlake City Code regarding oil and gas well drilling and production. THIS ITEM HAS BEEN TABLED TO THE MAY 20, 2008 CITY COUNCIL MEETING.
- May 20, 2008:
- The 2nd Reading and Public Hearing for the following ordinances are scheduled for the May 20, 2008 City Council Meeting. The portion of the agenda these items are listed under typically begins around 7PM:
- Ordinance No. 480-RRR, 2nd Reading, Amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance No. 480, as amended, as it pertains to oil and gas drilling and production.
- Ordinance No. 880-A, 2nd Reading, Amend Section 9.5, Article IV, of the Southlake City Code regarding oil and gas well drilling and production.
- The 2nd Reading and Public Hearing for the following ordinances are scheduled for the May 20, 2008 City Council Meeting. The portion of the agenda these items are listed under typically begins around 7PM:
- Late June: The City of Southlake will hold a Citywide SPIN Gas Drilling and Production Meeting (Gas Drilling 101) in late June. The intent of this meeting is to provide the citizens of Southlake the basics on gas drilling operations and procedures. If you are a gas company public affairs representative and are interested in participating in this meeting, please contact Alison Ortowski at 817-748-8261.
