Garage Sale Guidelines
Below are the City of Southlake guidelines for garage sales. If you have any questions that we can help with please feel free to contact Code Enforcement Officers Caroline Seay at 817-748-8222 or Renni Burt at 817-748-8397 between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
- Garage sales are limited to two (2) per calendar year.
- All sale items must be confined to the garage and/or patio of the premises.
- No permit is required for standard typical 24" x 24" garage sale signs. All signs must be ground signs and the address must be displayed.
- No signs are permitted on utility poles, street signs, or other utility units.
- Banner signs are not permitted.
- Maximum of four (4) signs per sale. There should be no more than one (1) on-site and three (3) off-site.
- No signs allowed on State Highway 114.
- Signs are not permitted in the city Right-Of-Way. The general rule is ten (10) feet from the back of the curb. (See illustration)
- Time of placement is between 12:00pm on Thursday until 12:00pm on Monday, or any legal holiday.
