Temporary Utilities Guidelines

The City of Southlake as certain requirements for construction heat, gas and electric meters

1. Heating system must be complete.
2. Gas system must be complete.
3. Ten (10) lbs. air test on gas system (use 30 lb. gauge).
4. Install gas valves on all gas outlets.
5. Electrical system must be complete with all switches and receptacle outlets installed.
6. Any electrical fixtures or equipment not installed shall be capped off with wire nuts and blank cover plates shall be placed over the outlet boxes.  Cover plates are not required over 8 feet high.
7. All circuits shall be labeled in the electrical panel boxes per the National Electrical Code.
8. Access ladder must be available to inspect attic units.
