Neighborhood Sidewalk Matching Funds Program

In accordance with the City of Southlake Sidewalk Plan, adopted by the City of Southlake City Council, November 6, 2007, residents can formally request the City to participate in up to 50% of the cost of designing and constructing sidewalks within their neighborhoods.

 

This program specifically assists neighborhood organizations or home owner's associations with identifying potential sidewalk projects within neighborhoods and paying up to 50% of the costs. Neighborhood organizations or home owner's associations are encouraged to apply for funds to build sidewalk projects they feel would make a difference in improving the safety in their neighborhoods or provide critical connections to schools, parks or other sidewalks. A special fund has been established by the City Council for the Neighborhood Sidewalk Matching Fund Program as part of the CIP (Capital Improvements Program). With approval from City Council, a 50/50 cost match may be established.
