The Animal Control Officer responds to animal-related calls for service, collects stray animals, and investigates vicious animal complaints.
The City of Southlake contracts with the North Richland Hills Animal Shelter to maintain and care for collected animals. Field Services Officer Ronnie White carries out Southlake's animal control duties. Part of the Field Services Officer's responsibilities include picking up and transporting stray animals to the animal shelter, and investigating animal-related complaints. Field Services Officer White works Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm.

Southlake DPS has traps available for checkout; you will be required to set the trap on your property and contact the Field Services Officer to retrieve the animal when in the trap.
Can you tell me about the animal tracking chip?
This is a microchip your veterinarian implants underneath your pet's skin. If your pet is found, a scanner "reads" the chip's information. This aids animal control officers across the county in reuniting pets and their owners.

You may call the non-emergency police line at (817)743-4524. You may also access the Pets 911 link on this page; the link allows you to search geographical areas for your pet. You may also enter a lost animal on Pets 911, using it as another tool to help locate your lost pet.
