City of Southlake

Criminal Investigations Division

Detectives investigate alleged criminal offenses, conduct crime scene searches, draft search and arrest warrants, and submit cases to the district attorney. The Police Property & Evidence Room also comes under the purview of CID.

Detectives in the Criminal Investigations Division investigate all reports of criminal activity generated by patrol officers.  They conduct crime scene searches, interview witnesses, victims, and suspects, recover stolen property, and generate arrest and search warrants.

In addition to conducting whatever investigation might be necessary; detectives must also prepare case paperwork, and present a completed case to the Tarrant or Denton County District Attorney's office for prosecution.

Occasionally, the Southlake Police seek your assistance in helping solve crimes.  If you have information about an unsolved crime, please contact Detective Sergeant Robert McAmis at 817-748-8208.

You may also contact Deborah Hardin, the CID Assistant, at 817-748-8320.
