Dispatch Services
Southlake Communications Operators are housed at the Keller Police Department, but still provide a high level of service to our community.
On April 1, 2007 the Cities of Southlake and Keller entered into an agreement in which the Keller Police Department agreed to provide dispatch services for Southlake Police and Fire Departments.
Although Southlake Communications personnel are housed at the Keller Police facility, there are at least two operators on duty at all times dedicated exclusively to dispatching Southlake calls for service. During times of heavy call volume - whether in Southlake or Keller - additional communications staff are on site to help maintain high service levels.
Southlake citizens calling 9-1-1 still reach a Southlake 9-1-1 operator without delay. This joint venture between the two cities has already proven advantageous for both communities, since communications staff for both cities is available during emergency situations.
