Wholesale Water Meter Modifications

Project description: Currently the City of Fort Worth bills the City of Southlake for all the water passing through the Ft. Worth Alta Vista and Caylor meters. The City of Southlake in turn bills the City of Keller for their share based on Keller and Southlake meters at their respective pump stations on Pearson. Upgrading all four meters to the same type and level of accuracy will allow the City of Fort Worth to bill the two Cities individually for their water use. Southlake and Keller will pay for any necessary upgrades to their own meters on Pearson and will share the cost of the upgrades to the Ft. Worth Alta Vista and Caylor meters.

What to expect in the next 6 months: The design for the new water meter modifications is complete. The project will advertise in the Spring of 2008 with the construction work to begin in the Fall of 2008 when the demand for water is lower.
