Fire Hydrant Meter Information
Please complete the Utility Service Request Form and submit to the Utility Billing Department along with a $1000.00 deposit. Once the deposit is made the meter will be released from the Public Works Department at
- Water tank or tanker must have air gap
- Only approved hydrant wrench is to be used on hydrants – no pipe wrenches
- Hydrant will be opened fully, adjust flow by gate valve on hydrant meter
- Hydrant meter gate valve shall not be removed, nor is the meter to be altered
- Storz cap must remain with meter at all times
- Contractor is responsible for loss or damage to meter, storz cap and/or the fire hydrant
- Multiple meters require multiple deposits
0 to 10,000 | $136.05 |

- Meters must be taken to the Public Works Department between the 15th and 20th of each month for a reading.
- Deposits will be refunded 4-6 weeks after the final bill is paid.
- If a meter is broken or damaged, it must be taken to the Public Works Department for inspection. Following inspection of the meter, the following may occur:
- If repairs can be made onsite, meter will be returned to you and any applicable charges will be applied to your next bill.
- If meter cannot be repaired onsite, you must go to the Utility Billing Office, submit an application for a new meter and pay another $1000.00 deposit. Once the old meter is repaired, the charges will be applied to the final bill and once the final bill is paid, the original deposit will be refunded to you.
