Q. How can I pay my water bill after hours?

A. During Town Hall business hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, customers can pay in person at the cashier window on the second floor of Town Hall, 1400 Main Street, Suite 200.

After Town Hall business hours, customers can mail their payments or drop them in the water payment drop box located in Southlake Town Square, just north of Town Hall, in the covered walkway between Origins and Talbots.

PLEASE NOTE:  Any payments received after 4:00 pm will post the following business day.

Q. Whom do I call in the event of a water emergency?

A. During Town Hall business hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, call the Water Division at (817) 748-8082.  After hours, call the dispatch office at (817) 748-8150.

Q. Whom do I call for....?

A.  New residental service, fire hydrant meter applications, refunds/adjustments, website information:
     (817) 748-8051
Billing questions, new construction meters:  (817) 748-8052
Customer service, payment processing:  (817) 748-8051

Q. What is the cost of new service?

A. All new residential or business customers pay a $15 service charge.  Residential customers wil see a $75 refundable deposit on their first bill and commercial deposits range from $250  to $1000 and are based on the size of the meter .  The deposit will be refunded to the account after two years of satisfactory payment history.  If you move from the property prior to two years of service, the deposit will be applied to the final bill if the account has a satisfactory payment history.

Q. How much will my water bill be?

A. Customers are billed on a 30-day cycle.  Water use is measured in terms of gallons used.  Southlake water customers can affect their water bills by monitoring and adjusting their water use.  The basic water rate for residential customers is $26.60 for the first 2,000 gallons, 2,001 to 10,000 gallons is $2.97 per 1,000 gallons, 10,001 to 25,000 gallons is $3.47 per 1,000 gallons, 25,001 to 40,000 is $3.72 per 1,000 gallons and 40,001+ is $4.22 per 1, 000 gallons thereafter.

Q. Is Southlake water safe?

A. Southlake water is tested frequently and continually meets or exceeds all state and federal standards for drinking water quality.  The results of the City’s water quality testing are mailed to all Southlake residents and businesses each year.  For a copy of the most recent Water Quality Report, call the Public Works Operations Department  at (817) 748-8082.

Q. When is curbside garbage pick-up?

A. Duncan Disposal picks up residential garbage two times a week depending on which zone you reside.  Please visit the Public Works website to view the zoning map.  Materials should be placed at the curbside by 7 a.m. on pick-up days, but no earlier than sundown the night before (this will help avoid wild animals feasting on your garbage).

If you need assistance with your trash pick-up, or if you have service questions or complaints, you can call the Duncan Disposal customer service line at (817) 317-2424.

Q. Does Southlake offer curbside recycling?

A. Recycling bins and lids are issued at Town Hall when a customer requests water service.  Customers can request a second bin for a $6 fee, and a second lid for $4.  When the water account is closed, the recycling bins stay with the home.

Residents can place recycling bins at curbside once a week.  Please visit the Public Works website to view the zoning map to determine which day your recycling will be collected.

Q. How much will my garbage bill be?

A. The monthly fee for curbside garbage and recyclable collection is $10.25 (excluding tax) per residential customer.

 Q. Why did the water rates go up?

A. The City of Southlake purchases the water used from the City of Fort Worth.  On November 1, 2008, a pass through rate increase went into effect raising the water rates by $.22 per 1000 gallons.  A customer consuming 40,000 gallons of water will see a difference of $8.80 in thier water charges.
