Fort Worth Increases Wholesale Water Rate to the City of Southlake
The City of Southlake purchases its water from the City of Fort Worth. On January 1, 2012, a “pass through” water rate increase will go into effect raising the average rate to purchase water from the City of Fort Worth.
As a result, the Utility Billing division will be passing this increase onto our customers with an effective date of January 1, 2012. This means customers will begin to see this rate increase on their February or March 2012 water bills. Please note this new increase applies to all accounts, both residential and non-residential, and equates to an approximate $5.37 increase to a residential customer (utilizing a one inch meter) and an $8.12 increase to a non-residential customer (utilizing a two inch meter) consuming 25,000 gallons of water during a regular billing period.
Please see the below rate table for clarification of this change.
