Welcome to the Utility Billing Department
Utility Billing is a branch of the Finance Department
Our mission is to efficiently assess and collect payments for utility services including:
- Water
- Wastewater
- Residential solid waste
- Recycling
UB accepts applications for new service, processes customer requests to disconnect and/or transfer existing service, and oversees accurate water meter readings. We strive to provide stellar customer service in a professional and courteous manner whether it be by phone or in person.
All new residential or business customers pay a $15 service charge. Residential customers wil see a $75 refundable deposit on their first bill and commercial deposits range from $250 to $1000 and are based on the size of the meter . The deposit will be refunded to the account after two years of satisfactory payment history. If you move from the property prior to two years of service, the deposit will be applied to the final bill if the account has a satisfactory payment history. Application for new service must be made in person by noon for same day service.
Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00 pm. For your convenience, a utility billing drop box is located in the breezeway at the back of Town Hall next to the ATM machine. The box is checked daily at 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Please note payments must be received in the drop box by 4:00 pm on the due date. Additionally, payments made in person, in our office, are also due by 4:00 pm. Payments received after 4:00pm will be processed the following business day.
