SPIN Standing Committee
Purpose
The
Southlake Program for the Involvement of Neighborhoods (SPIN) Standing Committee is a nonpartisan,
City Council-appointed volunteer organization comprised of representatives from 11 geographic areas within the City of Southlake.
The purpose of SPIN is to provide a vehicle for facilitating communication between residents and the city staff. See the links below and at left to learn more about this important citizen communication tool.

- Second Tuesday of every month

- Public welcome to attend all meetings
- In addition to the monthly meetings, SPIN representatives host forums on projects within their districts.

Appointment Process
Members are appointed to a two-year term, unless appointed to fulfill an existing vacancy. Members serve at the will of Council and shall continue to serve until their successors are duly appointed and sworn into office.
Residents interested in serving on this board shall complete an
application and submit it to the City Secretary no later than September 5. Applications will remain on file for one year.
The City Secretary’s Office will schedule interviews with selected applicants. Interviews will be conducted on the
second Tuesday of
October. Following an interview, Council will appoint members to the SPIN on the
third Tuesday of
October.
