Street Widening N Kimball from SH114 to Dove
Project Information:
- Project involves paving, utility, and drainage improvements for the widening of North Kimball Avenue from SH114 to Dove Road from a 2 lane asphalt road to a 4 lane concrete road with a divided center median and landscaping
- Project will include 6 foot sidewalks the entire length of both the east and west side of N. Kimball Ave.
- Right-of-way appraisal and acquisition is currently on-going north of Kirkwood Blvd.
- Construction began in December 2010
- Estimated completion: Spring 2013
What to Expect:

With right-of-way acquisition on-going, project construction will be completed in two phases:
- Phase 1: SH114 - Kirkwood Blvd.
- Phase 2: Kirkwood Blvd. - Dove Rd.
- 2 lanes of traffic will be open throughout construction.
- Commuters traveling on N. Kimball Ave. during the construction period should expect temporary lane closures as necessary and plan accordingly for slow-moving traffic and longer commute times.
