For Our Graduates
“Dream no small dreams for they have no power to move the hearts of men.'
~Goethe
The Southlake Teen Library Friends advise the Library in service to teens and promotes library services through special projects selected by the members each year. Contact your librarian, Cynthia Pfledderer, for more information.
Volunteering
Volunteers are a critical part of the Library's success. If you are between the ages of 12 and 18, you may help by shelving books, assisting with special projects, or serving as a member of Teen Library Friends. Register to volunteer at Volunteer Southlake and submit the Teen Application with parental signature to the Library before your scheduling your first volunteer session.
Volunteers must follow the policies set by the Library which include:
- The Library believes it is very important to offer flexible work opportunities to our volunteers, but it is necessary that we be given 24 hours notice when scheduling your hours, and Saturday hours are by approval only.
- Your attitude and attire should reflect your pride in volunteering for the City of Southlake.
If you have any questions, or would like to schedule a volunteer appointment, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Nicola Jesse, by email or by phone at 817-748-8243.
