Teen Court

Program Overview

Metroport Teen Court is a program funded by the cities of Colleyville, Grapevine, Keller, and Southlake, which allows teens in middle school or high school the opportunity to keep Class C Misdemeanors off their permanent record.

Teens who receive tickets must first appear before the judge in the city where they were ticketed. The judge may grant the Teen Court option or have other options for taking care of the ticket. If Teen Court is granted, the defendant will go through an enrollment session to learn more about the particulars of the program.

At the enrollment, teens will be scheduled for a jury trial on an upcoming Tuesday evening at Southlake Municipal Court. At the trial, the teen jury will sentence community service hours and other assignments which must be completed in the next 90 days. Once defendants have completed all requirements, Teen Court staff will notify the appropriate court so the citation can be dismissed.

Please read the Teen Court Brochure for more detailed information about the program, or contact us if you have any questions.
