Online Accident Reports

Accident reports (from July 1, 2008 and forward) may also be accessed online through PoliceReports.US
Please allow three to five business days from the time of the accident to access your report. If the report you are looking for is unavailable and it has been five or more business days please contact us.  Once posted online, accident reports will remain available via the internet.

In order to purchase a report, the requester must provide the following:
  • The report number; or
  • The last name of someone involved in the accident; and
  • The date of the accident
Once the required information is entered, the report may be purchased using a major credit card and then printed. The cost to obtain an online report is $6.00.

How Can I File a Police Report?

To file an accident or police report you may contact the non-emergency dispatch number at (817) 743-4522. If you need immediate assistant, please call 9-1-1.

You may also file a police report in person with the desk officers at DPS Headquarters located on the second floor. To reach a desk officer directly, call (817) 748-8914.
