Police Department Complaints and Commendations

We want to hear your feedback, both good and bad, regarding your experience with the Southlake Police Department. If you would like to file a complaint or simply would like to tell an employee good job, please follow the steps below.

Employee Commendations

Did you have a great experience dealing with the Police Department? Let us know by filling out our Commendation form.

File a Complaint
If you have had a negative experience with the Department of Public Safety and would like to file a formal complaint, please complete the Complaint Form and submit it using the instructions on the form. The Southlake Police Department investigates all complaints, including those made anonymously.

Racial Profiling Complaints
CCP Art. 2.132 Law Enforcement Policy on Racial Profiling requires the department to provide public education on the racial profiling complaint process. For the Southlake Police Department, this process is the same as the department’s complaint process, as described on this web site.

The Southlake Police Department is vitally interested in taking action when its employees neglect their duties or are guilty of wrongdoing. Your complaint will be given a fair and thorough investigation.
