The Southlake Fire Department is a certified American Heart Association training site and teaches classes to the public. The department uses the American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED certification course. The course is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult, child and infant CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. The class does not include first aid and does not work for those in the healthcare industry.
The classes schedule has been modified and classes will now be alternating between a Saturday morning class and a week night class. The schedule is located on the right hand side of this page. The Saturday classes will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the week night classes will begin at 5:30 p.m. All classes are held at Station 1 located at 600 State Street. When you arrive please enter the door marked Fire Services and the class is held in the upstairs training room.
If you would like to register for a class please contact Renni Burt at 817-748-8349 or by email at [email protected]. You must pre-register to attend.
