Station Tours and Officer Visits

Come Visit Us!

In an effort to keep members of the community, officers, and city staff as healthy as possible, we are temporarily suspending station tours at this time.
We greatly miss being able to connect with our families and youth and look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we move past the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Police Department welcomes guests into our police and training stations as part of our community and educational outreach. Station tours are conducted for church groups, schools, social clubs, mom groups and other organizations. Tours are personalized for each group based on the age and skill level of the participants. An officer can show you their police vehicle or motorcycle and the equipment they use to help keep citizens safe.

Schedule an Officer to Visit Your School or Day Care

Officers enjoy the opportunity to speak with young children to help reinforce important safety reminders such as stranger danger, bullying and helmet safety. Please contact us when you have a safety topic we can help with.

Emergencies Happen

The possibility exists that the officer conducting your tour may be called out on an emergency before or during your visit. If this should happen, we may have to close the station and end your visit. We will be happy to reschedule your tour at a later date if necessary.

Walk-Ins Are Welcome

Individual children and parents (no groups) are always welcome to stop by and see the station. There is the possibility that the officers may be on a call or in training when you stop by. But, if they are here, they will be happy to show you around.
