The Criminal Investigations Division or (CID) is responsible for investigating crimes to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to file a case with the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office.
CID also provides assistance and guidance to victims of crime. The division also secures search and arrest warrants, and maintains property and evidence.
The personnel that make up CID include:

1 Narcotics Investigator
1 Property and Evidence Technician
1 Crime Analyst / Victims Assistance Liaison
Additionally, this division includes the School Resource Officer (SRO) program as well as the warrant/bailiff unit. The personnel of each of these respective areas include:

3 Part-Time Municipal Court Officers (Bailiffs)

The CID Division is led by the CID Commander Lieutenant, Jose Luna. Lieutenant Luna has been with the Police Department since May, 2010.
