The City of Southlake conducts a household hazardous waste drop-off once a year. Through a partnership with the Republic Waste and Fort Worth Environmental Center, residents of Southlake may bring acceptable items to the mobile collection center to dispose of hazardous waste.
Location: Dragon Stadium - 1085 South Kimball Avenue - Enter the event on the south side of the stadium next to the CISD transportation building.
Want to know more about Crud Cruiser? Visit the Fort Worth Environmental Management Website or call the City of Southlake at 817-748-8349.
Texas Recovery Systems also participates in these events and they will be onsite to collect your old electronics. You can dispose of e-waste items including CD/DVD drives, cell phones, computers (hard drives, monitors, laptops, cables, etc), printers, ink cartridges and keyboards. No televisions will be accepted. Most Crud Cruiser events will also have a paper shredder on hand for your document shredding.
In addition to the Crud Cruiser events, residents may also drop off hazardous materials at the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center. Call the center at 817-392-3279 for days and hours of operation. Southlake residents do not need a voucher to drop off household hazardous waste (HHW) but should take a current copy of their water bill to prove their residence in Southlake. Providing your information confirms that the collection center will charge the city (not you) for your participation. The Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center is located at 6400 Bridge Street, Fort Worth, TX 76112.
If you have questions about a specific item not listed, contact the collection center to find out if it is accepted. For assistance, questions or more information about proper handling and disposal of household hazardous waste contact the Renni Burt at 817-748-8349.
