Are you a Freshman or Sophomore living in Southlake or attending CISD? Would you enjoy learning more about the City of Southlake, attending City events, and earning volunteer hours? Then you should fill out a SYAC application today!
SYAC is accepting applications through October 1, 2016. 

Application Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in 9th or 10th grade
  • Must be a Southlake resident or must attend a C.I.S.D. school
  • Limited to 10 students
  • Members will serve a 9 month term (in tandem with the academic calendar) and expiring May 31, 2017

What is SYAC?


The Southlake Youth Action Commission is open to all students in the 9th-10th grades that reside in Southlake and/or attend schools in the Carroll Independent School District (CISD). Students must complete and submit an application and may have no more than two absences per year. Membership must be renewed each year. The Southlake Youth Action Commission brings youth-related issues to the City Council’s attention, and participates in community service projects throughout the year. (Bylaws)
