Other Tips to Keep in Mind
- Turn off your sprinklers.
- Protect your outdoor pipes
- Make sure you know how to turn off your water meter
- Bring your pets indoors
- Expose any indoor pipes by opening the cabinet
- Run your water to a steady drip
- Place your generator outside to avoid fumes
- Make sure to have all your food and medical supplies ready in case of a power outage
Utility Information - Electric & Gas
City staff maintains continuous contact with Oncor and Tri-County anytime severe weather hits the area. Here's how to track and report power outages online:
- Oncor customers can report outages and receive updates by registering for MyOncor text alerts by texting "REG" to 66267, downloading the MyOncor App, following Oncor on Facebook and Twitter, or by calling (888) 313-4747. Oncor outage map

- ERCOT grid and market conditions
- For gas service and questions, please visit the Atmos Energy website, or call 800-460-3030. To report a gas leak, please call 866-322-8667 or 9-1-1.
Trash and Recycling Services
Republic Services provides services under normal operations. We will communicate service updates and scheduling changes through social media on this page and at www.MySouthlakeNews.com. Call the Republic Services Customer Service Center at (817) 317-2424. You can also call the City at (817) 748-8400.
Southlake Water Utilities
Keep a 24/7 eye on your water use. Sign up for Eye on Water. You'll need your entire SWU account number, including the dash, to register from your PC. Once registered, download the EyeOnWater app from iTunes or Google Play for access, no matter where you are. Questions? Call Southlake Water Utilities at (817) 748-8051.
