Carillon Parc Public Spaces Steering Committee

The Southlake City Council created the Carillon Parc Public Spaces Steering Committee to advise the Council on the future of the Southlake Public Library and other public spaces at Carillon Parc, including a space for performing arts, a public park, and public art. The Council is grateful for the work of the Library Task Force earlier this year to get us to this point.

As part of the Carillon Parc Public Spaces project, City Council must work with specific boards and commissions with defined roles of advisement as characterized by their enabling ordinance or resolution. Those roles include project funding and financial plans, conceptual plans, and other matters as requested by City Council. The Steering Committee will help facilitate that process. For more information about the Steering Committee, please view the Steering Committee Charter below.

City Council appointed City Council Members, one representative from each Board and Commission that has a role in the project, and five community members to serve on the Steering Committee. City Council and Board and Commission appointments occurred at the City Council meeting on September 6, 2022. Applications were accepted from community members for appointment to the Steering Committee from September 1, 2022 through Sunday, September 18, 2022. The Council made community member appointments at the October 4, 2022 City Council meeting.
