Holiday Collection Schedules

Republic Services trash and recycling collections will be suspended on the following five holidays: Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Collections will be delayed by one day.

Independence Day - Tuesday, July 4, 2023

Residential and commercial collections suspended

  • Residential collections will be delayed by one day. Tuesday collections will occur on Wednesday, July 5. Regular schedule will resume on Thursday.
  • Commercial make up day: Wednesday, July 5, and Thursday, July 6.

Labor Day - Monday, September 4, 2023

Residential and commercial collections suspended

  • Residential collections will be delayed by one day. Monday collections will be on Tuesday, September 5, and Tuesday collections will occur on Wednesday, September 6. Regular schedule will resume on Thursday.
  • Commercial make up day: Tuesday, September 5, and Wednesday, September 6.

Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 23, 2023

Residential and commercial collections suspended.

  • Residential collections will be delayed by one day. Thursday will be collected on Friday, November 24, and Friday collection will occur on Saturday, November 25. Regular schedule will resume on Monday.
  • Commercial make up day: Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25.

Christmas Day - Monday, December 25, 2023 

Residential and commercial collections suspended

  • Residential collections will be delayed by one day. Monday collections will be on Tuesday, December 26, and Tuesday collections will occur on Wednesday, December 27. Regular schedule will resume on Thursday.
  • Commercial make up day: Tuesday, December 26, and Wednesday, December 27.

New Year's Day - Monday, January 1, 2024 

Residential and commercial collections suspended

  • Residential collections will be delayed by one day. Monday collections will be on Tuesday, January 2, and Tuesday collections will occur on Wednesday, January 3. Regular schedule will resume on Thursday.
  • Commercial make up day: Tuesday, January 2, and Wednesday,  January 3.

Holidays with Regular Collection Schedules

The following holidays observed by the City of Southlake will not affect trash and recycling services:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Christmas Eve

Please note that any additional holidays not listed above will not impact trash or recycling services.
