[ARCHIVED] Summer Sounds Youth Festival 2019

Youth-Summer-Festival-355x296b

Having presented over 100 events by professional ensembles and artists – including the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Avant Chamber Ballet and the American Baroque Opera Company; the Apex Arts League’s inaugural Summer Sounds Youth Festival celebrates the unique accomplishments of music students, teachers and parents who comprise a vital part of our local community and culture.

With just 20 spots available, we invite teacher and parents – of students in grades K to 12 of intermediate to advanced level – to submit applications by May 28. If accepted, students are required to attend a 20-minute special rehearsal on either June 24 or June 28, from 4-8 p.m. at Grace Chapel. Applicants will also receive a confirmation email in the first week of June.

A $30 participation fee will be due on acceptance, along with an original/clean-copy accompaniment score for the collaborative pianist.

Apex Arts League ask students to prepare and present one movement of any classical sonata, concerto or established encore piece, which should be 3 to 6 minutes in length. Memorization is encouraged, but not required.

The Grand Recital will be held on June 29 at 4 p.m. at Grace Chapel, followed by refreshments.

Apex looks forward to welcoming you to Apex Arts League’s Summer Sounds Youth Festival 2019!
