During this registration process, parents will be asked to complete the New Student Online Enrollment (NSOE). This process includes registering and accessing Skyward Family, which is the district’s portal for accessing registration, attendance and grade reports. Parents will also need to upload documents including the student’s birth certificate, proof of residency, social security card, immunization record, and parent’s driver’s license. For Kindergarten Registration, report cards or withdrawal forms from the student’s previous district are not required because this is their first year in school.
Due to the current school closures per Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order, CISD elementary schools will be holding their Kindergarten Preview events online this year on April 23. This online event is aimed towards assisting future Kindergarten families with preparing for the start of school in August. This presentation will provide Kindergarten information related to:
• Readiness skills to assist in preparing your child for kindergarten,
• Educational expectations and skills for a kindergarten student, and
• General information for our kindergarten parents.
