Eclipses happen about every six months, but this one is special. For the first time in almost 40 years, the path of the moon’s shadow passes through the continental United States.
This is a once in a lifetime event that you don’t want to miss. So grab the kids and join the Southlake Library for a really fun and educational experience. The solar eclipse viewing party will be held at Family Park located in front of Town Hall on August 21 at 12:30 p.m.
The Library staff is going all out to make it a really memorable experience for the whole family. They will have about 150 solar eclipse glasses to use for viewing. Plus, moms, dads and kids will be treated to moon pies and sun chips.
