Malbec, a Portuguese Water Dog, first became a therapy dog in 2012. He and his siblings realized their pet-tential as therapy animals because they enjoy being around people and spreading paws-itivity. Malbec has worked at many organizations but his favorite is the Southlake Public Library.
Malbec will spend his retirement doing his favorite activities: throwing bed pillows on the floor, walking around Grapevine, riding with his head out the car window and chasing his tennis ball.
Children can register to spend 15 minutes reading to Malbec each first Saturday of the month from 10-11:30 a.m., now through May. Please call the Library at 817-748-8243 to reserve a spot!
