INVITATION FOR BIDS
The City of Southlake is soliciting proposals for the construction of the following project:
H.V.A.C. Upgrade Replacement for Southlake Town Hall
Proposals must be delivered to the City Secretary for the City of Southlake at 1400 Main Street, Suite 270, Southlake, Texas 76092, no later than 10:00 AM local time, September 29th, 2020, and then publicly opened and read aloud in the Public Works Conference Room, located at 1400 Main Street, Suite 320, Southlake TX 76092.

Contract Documents include the Invitation for Bids, Notice to Bidders, Bid Proposal, General Provisions, Special Conditions, Bonds, Certificate of Insurance, and the proposed contract documents (drawing and project manual specifications), including any addenda issued prior to receipt of competitive sealed proposals.
This project generally consists of removal of the existing cooling tower system and package water- cooled A/C units, and replacement with new chilled water and AHU systems. The existing mechanical roof well shall be modified to accommodate the new chilled water equipment including work to the roof, increased parapet height, installation of acoustical panels, and new mechanical platform. All additional work required includes supporting DDC controls, electrical, architectural, and structural support for new HVAC system.
Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bidder's bond with their proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the project with the Owner within ten (10) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to the City of Southlake in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Contractors for this Project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area established by the Owner and included in the contract documents. Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds, bound to the City of Southlake are required, each in an amount of not less than one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials.
The City of Southlake reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, to reject any or all bids, and/or waive formalities. Bids may not be withdrawn within ninety (90) days from date on which bids are opened.
