Class FULL - Chess Club for Kids2023-09-25T15:30:00Our chess program for kids is perfect for beginners with no prior chess experience. It will be taught by Chris Cole, a resident of Southlake and parent of children attending Carroll Elementary. Chris has a strong chess background, having been part of a chess club from kindergarten to 6th grade and actively participating in chess tournaments. Chris has previously organized chess clubs at an elementary school and a middle school, and even started a chess club at Baylor University. While Chris continues to enjoy playing chess on a casual basis, his true passion lies in teaching kids how to play. He firmly believes that chess provides an excellent mental exercise, is incredibly fun, and promotes good sportsmanship among children. Registration is required and for ages 5-9 only. Parents must stay in the library or third floor rooms during the program.
